Community Guidelines

BeVouched is built on one idea: the people who worked next to you know your work best. These guidelines keep that trust real. They apply to everything you add: jobs, confirmations, vouches, profile details and invites.

Be truthful

  • Add only jobs you actually held, with the right months.
  • Confirm a coworker only if you really worked at the same place at the same time. "Not sure" is a fine answer.
  • Say "The dates are off" when the job is real but the months are wrong, so they can fix it.

Vouch honestly

  • A vouch is a positive recommendation about work you saw yourself. If you cannot say something true and positive, do not vouch.
  • Vouches are only for skills. No comments about someone's body, background, beliefs or private life.
  • Do not trade vouches, buy them or ask for them in exchange for anything.

Respect people

  • No harassment, threats, hate or discrimination, in vouches, headlines, usernames or anywhere else.
  • Do not impersonate anyone or claim to work somewhere you did not.
  • Invite only people you actually worked with. Do not spam.

Respect workplaces

  • Add businesses by their real name and location so coworkers can find them.
  • Do not post confidential information about an employer, its customers or its staff.

What happens when rules are broken

Anyone can report a profile, job or vouch from the app, and reports are reviewed by people. Depending on what happened we may remove content, take back points or badges, limit features, or close the account. Serious cases, such as threats, are closed right away.
