BeVouched Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Summary

BeVouched is an app where you record where you have worked, ask the coworkers who were there to confirm it, and give and receive positive vouches. We store your phone number, profile, work history, confirmations, vouches, connections and points, and a push token if you turn notifications on. Your profile is visible to others according to settings you control; how you answer a confirmation request is never shown to the other person. Service providers host the data in Canada, send sign-in texts and deliver push notifications. We do not sell personal information or show ads. You can delete your account from Settings; it is purged after 30 days.

1. Who we are

BeVouched is operated by Dana Digital Corporation, a Wyoming corporation ("BeVouched", "we", "us"), 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States. Website: bevouchedapp.com. Privacy questions: support@bevouchedapp.com.

This policy covers the BeVouched app for iPhone and Android, the website (including public profile and invite pages) and our support mailbox, not other companies' services such as the app stores.

2. What we collect

Almost everything we hold is something you typed into the app.

Account and sign-in. Your mobile phone number, used to sign in with a one-time code sent by text message. If sign in with Apple or Google is offered and you choose it, the account identifier and any name or email address you agree to share. A session token kept on your device so you stay signed in.

Profile. Display name, username, optional headline, bio, link, city and region, country, and availability (Working, Open to work or Not looking). An optional photo; the app asks for camera or photo-library access only when you choose to set one. Your language, time zone and privacy settings (Section 4).

Work history. For each job: the business, your role title, start and end months (or that you still work there), whether it was remote, and the entry's visibility. Businesses are shared records: we store the name and, if you provide them, address, phone number and website, derive map coordinates from the address, and record who created the record.

Coworker confirmations. When two members log overlapping months at the same business, the service creates a confirmation request between them. We store the two entries, the overlap, each person's answer ("Yes", "No", "Not sure" or "The dates are off") and when it was answered, expired or completed.

Vouches. Vouches you write: who they are about, your relationship to them, one to five skills from our list, the text (up to 600 characters), the job it refers to, whether it is backed by a confirmed coworker link, and any retraction. Vouches written about you, and vouch requests.

Connections, blocks and invites. Who you are connected with and how, and the members you have blocked. Invitations you create: the link code, the channel you picked in the share sheet, the job you asked the person to confirm, a placeholder name you may have typed for them (shown only to you and, after they join, to them), and who joined and when.

Points, streaks and badges. A ledger of points earned and why, check-in dates, streak history and badges earned.

Notifications and devices. Your in-app notification inbox. If you turn on push notifications, an Expo push token per device with its platform, app version, language and last-seen time.

Reports. What you reported, the reason, any details you typed, and our record of how it was resolved.

Technical and usage data. Standard server logs kept by our hosting providers (IP address, request time, app version), and first-party product events such as screens opened and actions completed, used only to improve BeVouched.

What we do not collect. Your contacts (when you invite someone, you send the message from your own phone through an app you choose); precise device location (search distances come from business addresses); payment details (there are no paid features); advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking (the website sets no advertising or analytics cookies).

3. Why we use your information

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines those terms, and we make no automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects. Section 10 covers users outside the United States.

4. What other people can see

This is the complete list of what is visible to whom. The settings are under Profile and Settings in the app.

Public profile. By default your profile is public: anyone with the link can see it, signed in or not, and link previews in messaging apps may show your name, photo and headline. It shows your display name, username, headline, bio, availability, photo, points balance, number of connections, pinned badges, work history and the visible vouches you have received. City, region and link appear only while "Show city" and "Show link" are on.

Private profile. If you turn on "Private profile", only your accepted connections can see it; to everyone else it does not exist, on profile links, business pages or in search.

Work entries follow your profile's visibility. Where the app lets you mark an entry as connections-only or private, it is hidden from your profile and business pages outside that audience. Every entry is still used to find coworker matches, so an overlapping coworker sees the business, your role title and the overlap in their confirmation request.

Profile photos are stored in a publicly readable location: anyone with the file's direct address can load it, even if your profile is private.

Business pages list the members who logged a job there, grouped by year, subject to each member's visibility.

Search and requests. You appear in search only while "Discoverable" is on; your connections can always find you. You can turn off "Accept connection requests" and limit who may vouch about you to your connections.

Confirmation requests. You see the other person's name, photo, role title and the overlap. Your answer is private: the other person is never shown whether you said "Yes", "No", "Not sure" or "The dates are off". From their side the request reads as waiting, confirmed (only when you both said "Yes") or expired after 30 days; a "No" looks exactly like no answer. A double "Yes" notifies you both, connects you, and marks vouches between you "Verified coworker".

Vouches you write appear on the other person's profile with your name, relationship, skills and text. You can retract within 24 hours; after that the vouch stays unless our team removes it or you delete your account. The person it is about cannot edit it but can report it.

Invite pages. Anyone with an invite link sees the inviter's name, username and photo and, if the invitation refers to a job, the business, role and months, but not the placeholder name the inviter typed.

Blocking. If either of you blocks the other, you are hidden from each other everywhere, any open confirmation between you is removed, and neither of you can connect with or vouch for the other.

Our team. Moderators and admins see reports, the reported content and aggregate statistics. Engineers who operate the database can access stored data when needed to run or secure the service.

5. Who we share it with

Service providers, under contracts that limit them to providing their service:

The development studio. MOGULLIVING, INC builds and maintains BeVouched under a confidentiality agreement and may access data to operate, debug and support the service.

Other members and the public, as described in Section 4.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights or safety of BeVouched, our members or others.

Business transfers. If Dana Digital Corporation is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, still subject to this policy.

6. How long we keep it

While your account is open we keep everything above so the app works.

Confirmation requests expire 30 days after they are created if not completed. Expired and declined requests are kept so the same request is not re-sent; the other person's answer is never displayed. If dates change so the overlap returns, the request reopens for another 30 days.

Invite links expire after 90 days. Push tokens are removed when you sign out or delete your account.

Account deletion. When you delete your account from Settings, your profile details and photo are removed at once and your profile is hidden; vouches you wrote are hidden; your open confirmations, pending connection requests, devices, inbox and unclaimed invites are deleted; and the app signs you out. After 30 days your sign-in record and everything tied to it (work history, confirmations, vouches, connections, points, badges and reports you filed) are permanently deleted; hosting backups roll over within about seven days after that. Deletion cannot be undone in the app; if you change your mind within the 30 days, contact support@bevouchedapp.com.

Records we keep longer. We may keep reports and enforcement records after an account is deleted where needed to prevent abuse, and records we must keep by law. Business records are shared and outlive the members who added them. Service providers keep their own logs for limited periods.

7. Your choices and rights

In the app. Edit your profile and work history, make your profile private, turn "Discoverable", "Show city", "Show link" and "Accept connection requests" on or off, limit who can vouch about you, retract a vouch within 24 hours, block or report members, and delete your account.

Notifications. Push notifications are off until you turn them on and can be turned off in Settings or your phone's settings at any time; streak reminders are a separate opt-in. Text messages carry only sign-in codes, which you cannot opt out of while you sign in by phone.

Access, correction and deletion. Email support@bevouchedapp.com with the phone number on your account to request a copy of your personal information, a correction or deletion. We verify your identity with a one-time code to that number and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time. An authorized agent must show your written permission.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose (Sections 2, 3 and 5); to delete and correct it; to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither); to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we use your phone number only to sign you in and protect your account); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Other US states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (for example Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and Oregon) have similar rights, plus the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling, none of which we do. If we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will answer within 60 days and tell you how to contact your state attorney general.

Opt-out signals. The website does not track visitors across sites, so Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals change nothing: every visitor is already treated as opted out of sale and sharing.

8. Children

BeVouched is for working adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a person under 18 has an account, email support@bevouchedapp.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data travels over TLS and is encrypted at rest by our hosting provider. Row-level security rules on every database table let each person read only what this policy says they can see, and writes go through checked server functions. Sign-in uses single-use codes rather than passwords, and your phone keeps the session in secure storage. Access to production data is limited to people who need it. No system is completely secure; if you believe your account has been misused, contact support@bevouchedapp.com immediately. We will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.

10. International transfers and non-US users

Dana Digital Corporation is a United States company. Our database and file storage are hosted by Supabase in Canada; our other providers operate in the United States and elsewhere. If you use BeVouched from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in those countries, whose privacy laws may differ from yours.

BeVouched is designed for the United States. If data-protection law in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or elsewhere applies to you, our legal grounds for processing are: performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in keeping the service safe and improving it, where they do not override your rights; your consent for push notifications and camera or photo access, which you may withdraw at any time; and legal obligations. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your supervisory authority; contact support@bevouchedapp.com to exercise them.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any new version at bevouchedapp.com/legal/privacy and in the app, with a new effective date. If a change materially reduces your rights or changes how we use information already collected, we will tell you in the app or by text message before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
